ほら、あそこ。ㅤㅤ あの橋のたもとに馬が死んでいて、人間も馬ももう違いがない、可哀想だと思った。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 私の友人は私の隣でそうやって話してくれた。ㅤㅤ 友人が話してくれたおかげで、カラーセロハンを一色ずつ足していくように、角がぼろぼろになって滲んだ過去のイメージに、空気が生まれて匂いがうまれた。あたたかさも。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ わたしには大切な友人2人いる。友人というには失礼なぐらい人生の大先輩なのだけど、もう2人ともいわゆるこの世にはいない。私がアメリカから帰って来たばかりのころ、HIP (Hiroshima Interpreters for Peace)という、被爆証言を通訳したり、平和公園を英語で案内するボランティアグループに参加した。2人もそのグループに所属していた。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 2人は語った。父親が焼かれたと。同級生がみんな殺されたと。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 真剣に考えると自分の中の熱を帯びた冷たい感情の塊が形を変えながら身体中を駆け巡るので、そしてそれはかなりのエネルギーを吸い取るので、普段はあえて起こさないようにしている。目の前の忙しさや言い訳はいくらでもある。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 私のなかのその熱を帯びた塊が現れるとき、2人を思い出す。2人がいるから熱を帯びた塊があばれる。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 核兵器禁止条約が今日、発効される。2人を思う。ㅤㅤ ㅤㅤ 絵 by mokumoku studioㅤ ㅤ #nuclearban #nuclearbantreaty #核兵器禁止条約 #核兵器禁止条約発効 #ican #projectnow
English follows. ㅤ 　　ㅤ ハッタリもずっと言い続けていると、本当になることがある。ㅤ そのことならアメリカでも指折りの彼の場合、今回はそうならなかった。ㅤ 　　ㅤ 去年の春、大金持ちの主人公が出てくる漫画を描いた。キャラ設定は粗雑で、台詞は矛盾だらけ。ㅤ 　　ㅤ 物事にはいろんな面があるけど、ある一面だけに光を当て続けると、虫眼鏡で太陽の光を集めてるみたいに焦げ付いてくる。ㅤ だけど人と同じことを言っているのは安心だし、楽しい時もある。たぶん、教室で好きなテレビ番組の話をするみたいに。ㅤ 　　ㅤ そして絶対にこれは正しいということに飛びついて、ささやく。ㅤ だけど絶対に正しいことの連鎖が、世界をひどく矮小にしているような気もする。ㅤ 　　ㅤ もし、ハッタリばかり言う人物が国を動かす政治家であるのなら、たまったものじゃない。ツッコミの大合唱。ㅤ だけど日本ではヒール役の彼がリングから退場しても、問題の本質は彼にはないことに気づかないかもしれない。ㅤ 　　ㅤ 世の中で起きることは、どんな陰謀もないのに、何となくそういうことになってしまっている時がある。ㅤ 　　ㅤ クラスター。ㅤ 　　ㅤ ライトに照らされ一箇所に集まりたがる習性を自粛したい。いつも誰かのささやきが、もっともらしく響いている。ㅤ 　　　　ㅤ —-ㅤ ㅤ If you keep bluffing all the time, sometimes the empty words become reality. ㅤ Speaking of bluffs, the most famous man known for in the US failed to make it real. ㅤ 　　ㅤ In the spring last year, I made a manga about a wealthy man. The setting of his character is impractical and his words are full of contradictions. ㅤ 　　ㅤ There are so many aspects in one thing. But if a ray of light keeps shedding on only one aspect, it will burn just like concentrating the sun’s energy with a magnifying glass. ㅤ But it makes you feel better saying the same things other people are saying and sometimes it’s even enjoyable; just like chatting about a funny TV show in a class room. ㅤ 　　ㅤ But the masses find the seemingly absolutely right things and make a buzz. ㅤ I feel that the chain of the seemingly absolutely right things are making the world much smaller than it is. ㅤ 　　ㅤ The world will collapse if the politicians running the country say only bluffs. They would be only criticized. ㅤ If this was happening in Japan, when the role of a bad guy disappears from the stage, maybe we would not notice the essence of things does not lay in him. ㅤ 　　ㅤ We assume that there is conspiracy in everything happening in this world. ㅤ 　　ㅤ Like clusters. ㅤ 　　ㅤ I want to refrain from the habit to be attracted to go to a bright space.ㅤ Someone’s seemingly right tweets are echoing, always. ㅤ ㅤ #tokyo2021 #American

Happy New Year!! mokumoku studioにとって2020 Happy New Year!! mokumoku studioにとって2020年は変化の1年でした。 2020年4月に再始動という形でmokumoku studioを立ち上げました。コロナ禍でなかなか外に出て営業活動ができなかった分、ソーシャルメディアを通じて発表した作品が不思議な縁をもたらしてくれたり。そしてその縁が自信につながったり。人生の不思議を感じると共に、全てのつながりに感謝が深まりました。 みんなが人生や仕事のあり方を考え直さなければならなかった状況の中、mokumoku studioも例外ではなくこれからどう作品を作れば良いのか何度も迷いました。 大きな流れに翻弄されても、私たちはひとりひとりの小さな物語に光を当てるような作品を作りたい。忙しい毎日でも、カーテンの隙間から流れ込む光と暖かさを見つけた時のような。月の光が街灯よりも明るいと気づいた時のような。 2021年、自分たちの思いを大切にしつつ、思いもよらない化学反応によって引き起こされる偶然にもしっかり耳を傾けて、反応していきたい。 いつも応援してくれている皆さんに、何よりも素敵な作品を届けられるよう感性を磨きます。今年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。 2021年元日　mokumoku studio 2020 was a year of changes for us mokumoku studio. We launched mokumoku studio back in April this year. Having been impacted by the pandemic, it was difficult to go out to do PR activities. We were almost forced to show artwork on social media but it brought us some mysterious yet wonderful connection with people, which helped us to be more confident with our work. There were chances to realize how strangely unpredictable a life is and also made us even more appreciate the relationships we have. A lot of us were pressured to reconsider the path of our lives and the working style. mokumoku also struggled to find out how and what we should create. Even though the time made us stagger, we want to continue making art pieces which throw light on negligible yet precious individual stories. Like when we find a warm light peeking through curtains. Like when we noticed that the moon light is stronger than the street lights. In 2021, we would like to nurture our concept while being always reactive to unpredictable chemical reactions which could bring something surprising and interesting. たとえば、雲を描いているとき。 こ たとえば、雲を描いているとき。 こう描けば、雲っぽくなるという型がある。それを反復して描き続きる。描いているうちに、引く線が遊んできて、雲というフレームからだんだんブレてくる。「雲」から派生した形が複数できてくる。 「雲」自体よりも、そうしたズレを感じることが楽しくて、ずっと線を引き続ける。正しい形からの逸脱。解答の後回し。そして、この表現の余剰から生まれるものの方が、雲が持つイメージに近かったりする。 形を変えて、その形が、その名前の外に名前を持つ。雲の面白さ。ちゃんと生きようとしても、寄り道ばかり。 #drawings #絵日記 #雲
とある国レベルのイベントの演出絵コンテのお仕事。才能を見つけてくださったOさんと繋げてくださったAさんに多謝。 昔、ジブリの絵コンテ集を何冊か見たときも思ったけど、時間と空間の演劇的表現に、ふだん使わない想像力が刺激される。 I've been commissioned to make a storyboard which will be used in a presentation for a national level event.  I'm so thankful that Mr. O found me and my talent also Mr. A introduced me to the person who is organizing the event.  When I saw some collections of storyboards made by Studio Ghibli I felt that the staged expressions of time and space activate the special imagination that I don't usually use.  #絵コンテ制作 #2021 #storyboardartist #instapaintings #dramatics
